wydo.in is built around spontaneous, real-life connection. That only works if you trust us with your information. We keep data collection to a minimum, never sell your personal information, and put you in control of what's shared.

2. What we collect.

• Account information: your username, display name, email address, password, profile photo, cover photo, and bio.
• Drops and content: the text, photos, videos, locations, and activity details you choose to post.
• Connections: your friends, invites, blocks, and Crossed Paths interactions.
• Location data: only when you explicitly enable location features. We store coarse location for matching, never your precise, continuous movement history.
• Usage data: basic information about how you use wydo.in so we can fix bugs and improve the service.

3. How we use your data.

• To show your Drops to people you've invited or to friends nearby.
• To match Crossed Paths using coarse, server-side matching.
• To send you notifications you've opted into.
• To keep the service secure and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Location and Crossed Paths.

Location sharing is off by default. When enabled, wydo.in uses server-side coarse matching to suggest people you may have recently been near. Your exact coordinates, address, and movement history are never exposed to other users. Temporary encounters are deleted after 24 hours.

5. Sharing and selling data.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data when necessary to operate wydo.in — for example, with our cloud hosting provider — or when required by law.

6. Cookies and storage.

wydo.in uses minimal cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

7. Your choices and rights.

• Set your profile to public or private in settings.
• Turn location sharing on or off at any time.
• Delete Drops, photos, videos, or your entire account.
• Block or report users who bother you.
• Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it.

8. Security.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No service is completely secure, so please use a strong password and be thoughtful about what you share publicly.

9. Data retention.

We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. Temporary location encounters are deleted after 24 hours. When you delete content or your account, we remove it promptly from active systems. Some backups may retain copies for a limited time.

10. Children's privacy.

wydo.in is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email.
